Love Food? Love Pubs? Here’s why you’ll love working in our kitchen at Vintage Inns!

If you’ve got a passion for good food and a love for the buzz of a busy pub, you’re in the right place!

Working in a Vintage Inns kitchen isn’t just about cooking—it’s about being part of a close-knit team, serving up classic British dishes, and having a bit of fun along the way.

From the crackle of a Sunday roast to the rush of a packed evening service, there’s never a dull moment.

We’re giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to work in our kitchens—the perks, the people, and the passion that make it more than just a job.

1. The people: meet our tight-knit team

You’ll work side-by-side with chefs and kitchen team members who genuinely care about each other.

Just ask Keanu—he joined Vintage Inns in July 2022 as an Apprentice Chef and loves the hands-on experience and the variety each day brings.

His advice? “Have confidence and be prepared to think on your feet quickly!” It’s that focus on backing yourself and staying adaptable that really sets the experience of working here apart.

It’s not all work and no play. Whether it’s team nights out, celebrating a record-breaking service, or just having a laugh during prep, you’ll feel part of the team from day one.

So yeah, the food’s great—but the people? Even better.

2. The passion: cooking with heart

There’s a real sense of pride that comes with knowing you’ve made someone’s day with a great meal. We take pride in putting a smile on our guests' faces

We’re all about those timeless British pub classics—crispy fish and chips, rich steak and ale pies, and of course, the all-important Sunday roast. But it’s not just about the end result—it’s about the process.

The buzz of a busy service, the satisfaction of getting every plate just right, and the teamwork that makes it all happen. That’s what makes it special.

3. The perks of working in a Vintage Inns kitchen

Let’s be honest—working in a kitchen can be hard work. But at Vintage Inns, the perks make it all worth it.

From career growth to team support (and a seriously good staff discount on meals), there’s a lot to love about being part of the team.

Career growth that’s actually real

This isn’t the kind of place where you stay stuck in the same role for years. Just ask Ragain—she joined as a Waitress in 2017 and was recently promoted to Team Coach after returning from maternity leave.

Or Ravi, who worked his way up from Team Member to Assistant Manager. If you’re driven and ready to learn, the opportunities to grow are huge.

Flexible hours that fit your life

Whether you're after full-time hours or just a few shifts to fit around your lifestyle, there's something here to suit you.

With a wide range of shift patterns available across our opening hours, it's easy to find a routine that works for you – whether that’s evenings only, weekends only, early mornings, or a mix that fits around your other commitments.

The flexibility means you can work around your schedule without feeling like you’re constantly juggling.

Unlock M&B benefits

We know our teams work incredibly hard, and we’re all about making sure that hard work gets recognised. Sure, we’ve got dedicated development pathways to help you grow in your role—but we also know it’s the extra benefits that make a difference

From discounts at our pubs and retailers to wellbeing support when you need it, we’ve got you covered. Work hard and get rewarded—it’s that simple!

Why working at Vintage Inns is more than just a job

So, if you’re ready to take your passion for food, people, and pubs to the next level, why not join us at Vintage Inns?

We’ve got the perks, the people, and the passion to make it more than just a job—it’s a career you’ll love.

Sharpen your culinary skills, lead a team, or take on a new challenge, by applying to our kitchen jobs at Vintage Inns today.
